The very first post.

Why I Decided to Create a Blog

I am very active when it comes to engineering and tinkering with computers in general. Just the other day, I was messing around with a Raspberry Pi and an ST7789 LCD. A few weeks before that, I started designing my own RP2040-based handheld. Five months before that, I started building an 8-bit computer with CMOS logic gate chips. Everybody asks me how I do these things, but the answer is long and complicated, and it is difficult trying to explain every detail on the spot in under a minute. It occured to me that an online blog would be the perfect place to document my latest projects, communicate my thought processes, share how I solved certain problems, and create helpful guides for others.

Why Does it Look Like… This?

If you know me personally and have seen my portfolio website, you are probably wondering why I left behind dark mode by default, cool animations, and nifty gradients for this seemingly “unstyled” HTML. If you look one step closer, you may see a resemblance to GitHub’s README processor. I have noticed recently how comfortable it is to read documentation on GitHub ---although maybe it’s just the mere-exposure effect--- and wanted to emulate that feel with this blog. I also believe that educational resources, such as this blog, should not be concerned with cool animations but rather readability and mass accessibility. I built this site as a “markdown viewer/databse” that should be easily accessible on any device with any screen size.

What to Expect

This blog is mostly going to contain things related to computers such as programming, CPU emulators, embedded systems like Arduino and Raspberry Pi, video game development, web development, Linux, etc. This is not a personal blog.
